The challenge

The brief was a subject most sites handle badly: comparing two faiths without a wall of text, and in a way students, families and classrooms can actually finish. It had to work for readers with no Hebrew and no Bible background, including low-vision and attention-challenged readers — and it had to be live quickly, not after a long design cycle.

How we built it in a week

One week leaves no room for a long design cycle, so the scope was fixed early: a clear learning loop, a reading experience that works for everyone, and nothing that needs accounts or a server to look after. Every page follows the same loop:

  1. 1 · TrailPick a stop

Eight big questions laid out as an eight-stop trail.

  2. 2 · ReadFive minutes

A short lesson — read it, or switch on listen mode.

  3. 3 · QuizThree minutes

Check what stuck; earn stars and keep a streak.

  4. 4 · KeepPrintables

Finishing a quiz unlocks summaries, quiz sheets and colouring pages.

What’s inside

  • Five-minute lessons on an eight-stop trail, each followed by a three-minute quiz.
  • Free printables — summaries, quiz sheets and colouring pages — unlocked by finishing a quiz.
  • A comparison chart of eight key questions, and an illustrated gallery of symbols that flip to reveal their meaning.
  • Accessibility built in: adjustable text size and line spacing, colour themes, a reading ruler and a focus mode that dims everything but the current step.
  • Listen mode that reads lessons aloud and highlights the current paragraph, and an animated guide, Netiva, who speaks her lines.
  • Progress without accounts — stars and streaks live in the browser, so there is no sign-up and no personal data to look after.

The outcome

A complete, accessible learning product went from idea to production in seven days — and it is still live. It shows how we like to work: decide what matters most, ship it properly, and leave out anything that adds risk without adding value. The same process is how we take most MVPs live in three to four weeks.
